Who this policy covers

This policy covers Prebuilts.io, operated by Big Scoop Holdings LLC. You can browse the catalog and compare devices without an account. The current site has no account registration, payment collection or email-alert signup, and it does not include third-party audience analytics, advertising pixels or affiliate commission tracking.

Supplier websites and linked publishers have their own privacy policies. The YouTube content described below also involves Google's services.

Hosting, browsing and shared page addresses

Delivering a page requires a connection to the server that provides it. That server receives connection information such as your IP address, the requested URL, request time and browser information. Page addresses can appear in browser history and server or security logs.

Cloudflare is our provider for public website hosting and delivery. It processes connection and request information to deliver the site and help protect it from abuse. We may use the service's operational and security information to investigate delivery problems and suspicious requests. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for its handling of visitor information.

Searches, filters, guided finder answers, comparison selections and buying settings can be included in a page's URL so a view can be restored or shared. Anyone who receives that URL can see those settings. Avoid including private information in search text or links you share. The catalog does not send your buying preferences to a supplier as affiliate tracking parameters.

Saved purchasing preferences

When you change a purchasing control, the site saves a first-party cookie named prebuilts_purchasing_v1. It remembers choices such as buying mode, supplier preferences, quantity and requested procurement support. It does not ask for a company name, contact details, street address, tax identifier, payment information or supplier password.

The cookie lasts up to 90 days from the latest saved change. It is stored in your browser and, like other first-party cookies, is sent to the website's origin with applicable requests. We use it to restore your purchasing preferences. An explicitly shared purchasing URL can temporarily select a different view without replacing your saved preferences.

You can clear the cookie using the button below or the purchasing controls, or remove this site's cookies in your browser settings. If saving is blocked, the controls can still work for the current visit. Clearing saved preferences does not remove URLs already saved in browser history or shared with someone else.

YouTube previews and playback

Video preview images load from YouTube's image servers when your browser requests them. Those requests can disclose connection information, including your IP address and information about the referring page, before you play a video.

The embedded player loads only after you select Play. It uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain, youtube-nocookie.com. Playback connects to Google's services, which can process connection and playback information and use browser storage under their own policies. Privacy-enhanced mode does not make playback anonymous. Opening a Watch on YouTube link also takes you to YouTube.

Email and privacy requests

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use that correspondence to answer the inquiry, investigate a reported problem or handle your privacy request. We use Proton Mail to receive and manage these messages. Delivery also involves your email provider. See Proton Mail's Privacy Policy. Please send only the information needed for your request.

Show email reveals our address in your browser. Copy email writes that address to your clipboard without reading its contents. Open email app prepares a message in your chosen email service; you decide whether to send it. Revealing or copying the address does not send us a message.

Correspondence may be retained while it is needed to resolve an inquiry, maintain a correction record or meet an applicable legal obligation. The purchasing cookie has the separate 90-day limit described above. You can ask about information you have sent us, request a correction or request deletion by contacting us. We may need to verify the request using information proportionate to it, and applicable law can require or permit some records to be retained.

Browser privacy signals and service providers

The current website does not change its behavior in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal. It does not include audience analytics or advertising pixels. Google's services and sites you open through external links have their own privacy settings and practices.

Cloudflare, Proton Mail and the external services described above may process information outside your state or country under their respective policies. Information handled by those services can have different retention periods from the purchasing cookie. We do not promise that clearing a browser cookie deletes service logs or email correspondence; contact us about information you have sent us.

Supplier sites and future changes

Following a supplier or publisher link connects you to that site's services. Orders, payment details and supplier accounts are handled there under the destination's policies. Prebuilts does not receive your checkout details through the current website.

We will update this page when the site's data practices change, including before introducing an analytics service, account feature, alert signup or compensated-link integration that changes those practices. The date above identifies this version of the policy.
